THE PROJECT

Wicks Road

I called this California mid-century modern home mine for six years. I was drawn to it instantly, but it was only after moving in that I discovered it was owned by creatives in its past—the architect who designed it and a painter/ceramicist. The house became a canvas to test new designs, a gathering place for family and friends, and a sanctuary for us during stressful times. Minimalist yet warm, it honored its mid-century roots in a way that felt both sophisticated and deeply comforting.
