A Robin’s Nest
At my former studio in Pasadena, a robin began building its nest above the entry door.
I was nervous about having fragile eggs so close to people entering and exiting, and I consulted a conservationist about moving it responsibly before it was too late. No matter what we did, the bird returned to rebuild. I was inspired by its perseverance, so much so that I designed the nest bowl.
